OPTUM/VA Customer Service Agent

Status: Full-time permanent position (40 hours)

Availability: MUST have open availability

Experience: 1 year Call Center experience (Inbound calls)

Start Date: July 12, 2026

Compensation: $14.73 - 15.37per hour + $5.09 Health & Wellness stipend = $19.92 - $20.46 hour

Internet: Internet speed of 40 download/ 20 upload Preferred to be 100MBPS

Background Check: Must pass a credit and background check and background check.

Summary of Job Duties:

Ensure customer service/care techniques with a high degree of courtesy and telephone etiquette.

Communicate with beneficiaries and providers using web-based tools, demonstrating proficiency in typing and grammar.

Utilize operational databases/web-based systems to initiate and complete orders.

Handle inbound call volume and occasionally make outbound calls.

Maintain a working knowledge of company products, features, and services.

Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.

Regular attendance is required; must be at work and ready to begin at the scheduled time.

Must be able to multitask, operate a PC, use internet search engines, computer systems, and specialized telephone systems.

Must be able to type and read on a computer.

Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.

Effective verbal and written communication skills are required.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work in a standard office environment and use a computer for extended periods
