Customer Service Desk AssistantReports to: Front End ManagerFunction: To provide prompt and efficient service to the customer while contributing to the smooth operation of the customer service boothEssential Responsibilities and Duties:Provide prompt and courteous service to the customers according to company policiesOperate the following equipment: cash register, fax machine, adding machineAnswer incoming phone calls and take messages when necessaryInvestigate and resolve customer questions, complaints and problemsInteract with customers in a courteous and tactful mannerAssist in processing of courtesy card applications, issuing rain checks, etc.Allocate cash to checkers and record amount assignedVerify receipts and balance and settle drawersInvestigate and report shortages or overagesRefer difficult or unusual customer problems to a manager for prompt attentionKeep customer service area cleanPerform other functions as requested or required by business conditions, including operating the register, bagging, etcMust be able to work eveningsPhysical Demands:Stand on feet, bend, stoop or walk for the majority of the time* Must be at least 18 years of age.* Must be able to work evenings* Must be able to work 30-39 hours per weekPT Benefits for Associates working 30+ hours per week:Medical / Vision / PrescriptionDental401K with Company matchPaid Vacation / HolidaysCompany paid Life InsuranceCompany paid Short Term DisabilityVoluntary Benefits Available20% Employee discount
