Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY: We are hiring a Customer Service Associate to support both our sales and customer service teams to build customer relationships with new and existing accounts. You'll be responsible for assigning details to shipments waiting to be assigned to drivers, as well as tracking, tracing and resolving any issues with freight delivery.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Key Responsibilities:
Communicating internally and externally with customers
Booking loads and entering orders from customers
Assigning details to shipments so they can be assigned to drivers
Scheduling pick-up and delivery appointments for outbound shipments
Tracking and tracing shipments, monitoring freight in transit, fielding customer location requests for appointments, and assisting internal customers with resolving scheduling conflicts with loads
Heavy data entry and reporting & compiling spreadsheet reports and heavy data input
Receiving and cross-referencing driver bills of lading for accurate documentation and payroll
Researching proofs of delivery
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications:
1 year of customer service experience
Possess excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills Meet and exceed customer needs and expectations by providing impeccable service
Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel (will be tested)
Extremely organized proficient and accurate data entry skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Associates degree preferred
Transportation or supply chain industry background
Some familiarity with AS/400 operating system
Ability to communicate effectively
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, quickly process information for a deadline-driven environment
High degree of initiative and independent execution
Ability to handle high volumes of inbound and outbound email and calls
Passion for working with people
Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment and be able to multi-task and juggle priorities
