Automotive Customer Service Representative
Location: North Chesterfield, VA
Schedule: Full-Time | MondayFriday
Hours: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (No Weekends)
Compensation: $18$25 per hour, based on experience
Position Overview
Promotive is seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Customer Service Representative for a well-established independent automotive repair shop in North Chesterfield, VA.

As the first point of contact for customers, you'll play a key role in creating a positive experience while helping keep daily operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers professionally and create a welcoming experience
- Answer incoming phone calls and assist customers with questions and scheduling
- Schedule, confirm, and manage service appointments
- Process customer payments including cash, credit cards, checks, and financing options
- Close repair orders and verify invoices for accuracy
- Maintain organized customer records, filing, scanning, and administrative documentation
- Assist with warranty paperwork and customer communication
- Balance daily receipts and maintain accurate payment records
- Follow up with customers regarding service satisfaction and customer experience initiatives
- Communicate vehicle pickup procedures and payment information professionally
- Support service advisors, technicians, and management with administrative tasks
- Help maintain a clean, welcoming, and organized customer waiting area
- Jump in wherever needed to support the team and deliver an outstanding customer experience
Qualifications
- Automotive industry experience Required
- Previous Service Advisor, customer service, receptionist, cashier, or administrative experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable using computers, POS systems, and scheduling software
- Experience with shop management software is a plus specifically Tekmetric
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy environment
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Strong phone etiquette and customer service skills
- Ability to handle customer concerns calmly and professionally
- Someone who works well with others and contributes positively to team culture
