POSITION SUMMARY

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing creative solutions to meet customers' needs, internal and external. This position is also responsible for securing and assigning freight to maximize productivity and profitability.

MAJOR TASKS

  • Determine capacity and demand of loads and truck assignments.
  • Plan and organize the transportation of goods based on deadlines, available resources, and customer requirements.
  • Answer phone calls and electronic communication from customers to develop and maintain positive relationships.
  • Closely work with the sales department to balance freight capability and identify target areas for maximum saturation throughout the market.
  • Responsible for accepting excess freight to support brokerage profitability.
  • Monitor and track loads to provide status updates on shipments.
  • Update Transportation Management System with real-time shipment information
