The Opportunity In this role, you will coordinate and support all activities related to customer orders, production planning, material availability, and inventory management. You will serve as a key liaison between customers and the plant, ensuring accurate order entry, timely communication, and smooth execution of production schedules. You will also support quality processes, inventory control, and monthend reporting while helping maintain excellent customer relationships. How you will impact Smurfit WestRock Confirm and enter new customer orders accurately and efficiently. Enter releases and loads into the system to support production scheduling. Maintain accurate customer pricing records. Ensure all direct materials required for open jobs are identified, ordered, and available to meet production timelines. Manage corrugate inventory by monitoring usage and placing timely orders to prevent shortages. Coordinate approvals for samples, proofs, and color standards for new or transferred business. Lead quality planning sessions for onboarding new or transfer accounts. Collect outstanding balances on accounts receivable as needed. Complete monthend reporting responsibilities. Log and manage customer complaints. Enforce FIFO inventory rotation practices. Answer phones and direct customer calls professionally. Manage aged inventory and address overrun/zerovalue cartons produced within the month. Crosstrain across all assigned customer accounts. Communicate effectively with customers and all levels within the plant. Support product safety and product quality initiatives, reporting concerns to Senior Management or the Quality Manager. Perform other duties as assigned to support business needs. What you need to succeed Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong negotiation and leadership abilities. Ability to assess and resolve employeerelated issues using appropriate tools and approaches. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
