The Regulatory Specialist II Customer Contact Specialist serves as a primary point of contact for customers, applicants, licensees, or members of the public. This position is responsible for responding to inquiries, processing requests, resolving issues, and supporting regulatory operations while maintaining compliance with agency policies and Florida statutes.
Key Responsibilities
Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, chat, or written correspondence.
Provide information regarding licenses, permits, applications, regulations, and agency procedures.
Review and process forms, applications, and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Maintain electronic and paper records in state databases and systems.
Research customer issues and coordinate resolutions with internal departments.
Interpret and explain state rules, policies, and procedures to the public.
Track and document customer interactions and case activity.
Assist with complaint intake and routing when applicable.
Ensure confidentiality and compliance with state and federal regulations.
Meet productivity, quality assurance, and customer service performance standards.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED (associate or bachelors degree may be preferred by some agencies).
Experience in customer service, administrative support, call center operations, or regulatory work.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database systems.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
