Open Door is seeking a Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) Dental Call Center Representative for its Dental Centers in Westchester and Putnam counties. The Dental Call Center Representative will report to the Senior Manager, Call Center and will be based in Ossining, NY with Hybrid schedule potential following successful completion of the training process. The Call Center aids with all incoming calls to our centers and supports access for care to our patients for medical, dental, and behavioral health services provided throughout our locations.
Duties, functions, and responsibilities:
Schedules dental appointments for providers utilizing the scheduling protocol
Knowledgeable of dental offices' workflow and interaction with the Call Center
Answers general patient inquiries
Manages calls in a fast-paced environment and within established call timeframe
Multitasks while conversing with patients and entering information into the system
Informs patients by explaining procedures, post-operative instructions, and answers additional questions
Understands the company's health/pharmacy services and can speak to advantages and overcome objections
Keeps records of all conversations in electronic health records
Answers questions related to patient insurance, co-payments, and sliding fee scale
Confirms patient appointments via outbound calls, when needed
Grows our business by identifying and increasing scheduled appointments and enrolling new patients
Provides a positive patient experience
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Basic Computer skills including Word, Excel
Basic familiarity with dental terminology
The ability to meet and exceed performance goals
Ability to work well with others
Strong organizational skills to prioritize multiple tasks
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills
Basic understanding of dental clinic processes and operations is required
Working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records systems
Qualifications:
Work Experience
Minimum 1 year customer service and/or call center experience
Dental office experience preferred
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required
Physical Requirements:
Moderate exposure to adverse working conditions in performing certain activities
Must be able to hear and speak clearly in order to communicate information to patients, staff, and other community members or visitors
Vision adequate to read documents, a computer screen, clinic related documents and forms
Manual dexterity; the ability to lift up to 20 pounds independently; ability to sit, stand, walk, and bend
