Job Duties

Provides general clerical support to State Approving Agency (SAA) staff.

Processes approval actions (e.g., prepares, reviews, maintains electronic files); completes processing/upload of approval packages to schools, colleges, universities & employers & to U.S. Dept. of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Sends schools, colleges, universities & employers approval applications; corresponds with VA during SAA consultant absence; processes all School Certifying Official (SCO) updates.

processes compliance reviews (e.g., prepares, reviews, maintains electronic files; mails findings letters to schools, colleges, universities & employers; maintains tracking spreadsheets)

Provides back-up support to DVS reception desk & records office (e.g., greets visitors, answers telephone, assists customers, dis-tributes mail, copies/faxes materials, retrieves military records according to DVS policy & procedure).

Qualifications

9 mos. trg. or 9 mos. exp. in office practices & procedures; 9 mos. trg. or 9 mos. exp. in public relations or customer service that included techniques for handling difficult people; 9 mos. trg. or 9 mos. exp. in typing, keyboarding, data entry or word processing; 9 mos. trg. or 9 mos. exp. in operation of personal computer.
