Student Central Customer Service Specialist 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars One College Green, La Plume, PA 18440 Position Summary: The Student Central Customer Service Specialist is responsible for offering excellent and timely customer service to all constituents of Student Central in person and via phone and email. This role will also have other work assigned beyond customer interactions and will support the Student Central team, including financial aid and student account functions, and serve as a backup for certain responsibilities of the Enrollment Processing Specialist. Primary Responsibilities: Provide support and guidance to students, families, faculty, and staff, on billing policies and procedures related to all aspects of the student account throughout the student life cycle at Keystone. Answer incoming phone calls, assist walk-in students or parents, and respond to voicemail messages and emails in a timely manner. Guide students and families on the use and navigation of, including access to online forms, in MyKC (the College's one-stop services portal). Update student records in Jenzabar (Student Information System (SIS)) and, if necessary, Element451 the Admissions Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. Under the guidance of the Student Central Manager, resolve student account issues. Assist with the set-up and management of in-house tuition payment plans. Support the Financial Aid Office on all inquiries into student financial aid matters. Serve as a backup to the Enrollment Processing Specialist for some items pertaining to the student admissions process. Perform necessary administrative tasks as required, including filing, supplies management, and supporting the Student Central team. Performs other duties as assigned. Experience: Bachelor's degree preferred. Prior customer service experience preferred. Higher education experience, potentially in admissions, financial aid or student billing, desired, but not required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience working with a SIS or CRM. Skills and Abilities: Desire to work in a fast-paced, customer-service focused environment. Knowledge of higher education environment and associated business functions. Prior experience working in Admissions or Financial Aid offices is strongly preferred. Demonstrated time management skills and an ability to multitask. Ability to work independently and to maintain strict confidentiality and data integrity. Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail. Ability to lift 20 - 25 lbs.
