Job Responsibilities:
Provide customer support to ensure that customer inquiries and concerns are addressed promptly and effectively
Address customer inquiries and resolve customer issues in a timely manner to include but not limited to the following:
Billings, notices and payments
Transfer of Property
Water Quality
Elevate customer issues to appropriate person or department as needed
On an ongoing basis:
Update name, address, and phone number changes
Set-up payment plans or payment arrangements with customers
Record all customer inquiries, comments, and complaints on the customers account in Notes
Set up Pending records and final read appointments for Property Transfers
Set-up appointments for new meter sets, high bill complaints, meter in/water on, meter out/water off, etc
Process requests for Water Quality reports
Log complaints for dirty water or no water and forward to appropriate departments
Setup new accounts in Munis
Retrieve and follow up on voicemails and emails
Direct payment signups
Process WaterTight enrollments
Send PT program mailings and noncompliance notifications
Qualifications: High School Diploma
Customer Service Specialist I
This is an entry level position requiring some level of experience in customer service within an office or bank environment.
Customer Service Specialist II
Three (3) to five (5) years of experience of progressive in customer service in a utility or related industry.
