Applegate Insurance Agency is seeking a Customer Service Insurance Representative (CSR) with experience in Personal Lines Insurance and Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance. This is a 100% in-person position at our local office, ideal for someone who thrives in a face-to-face, team-oriented environment.

We’re looking for an insurance professional who delivers exceptional client service, enjoys solving insurance challenges, and is motivated by earning commissions through cross-selling and upselling opportunities.

In this role, you’ll support clients with coverage for auto, home, renters, umbrella, and recreational vehicle insurance, while growing your insurance knowledge and career.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide prompt, professional, and friendly customer service in person, over the phone, and via email
• Review client needs and recommend appropriate personal lines insurance products
• Educate customers on policy coverages, deductibles, liability limits, endorsements, and optional protections
• Assist with policy servicing, including endorsements, renewals, billing, and certificates of insurance
• Facilitate basic claims support and follow-up with clients and carriers
• Maintain detailed records in our Agency Management System (IMS)
• Collaborate with insurance carriers, producers, and underwriters to deliver the best solutions
• Identify opportunities to cross-sell and upsell additional lines of coverage

Qualifications:

• 1–3 years of experience in insurance customer service, ideally with a focus on P&C or Personal Lines Insurance
• Active Property & Casualty Insurance License (or ability to obtain upon hire)
• Strong working knowledge of homeowners, auto, renters, and personal umbrella insurance
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, client-facing environment
• Experience using insurance carrier platforms, rating software, and client management systems
• Prior work in an independent agency or brokerage strongly preferred
