Regularly work from architectural drawings and specifications, shop drawings or elevation take-offs and reports to the Estimating Supervisor. This role is perfect for an individual who is organized, a self-starter and detail oriented. A vital member of the Estimating Department, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.Job responsibilities includeEvaluate bid specifications and drawings, ensuring that the required data is obtained to successfully bid and win the project. Estimators must aggressively follow-up with subcontractors to ensure that bids are received. Estimators also work with the Project Management teams to follow-up on bids and budgets to close the business.Create stock length cost proposals for customers based on elevation take-offs, using our price book and computer softwareProvide detailed estimates to our customers in a timely manner. Work from architectural drawings and specifications, shop drawings or elevation take-offsFollow up on estimates and provide feedback concerning market pricing levelsAchieve acceptable sales and margin levels.
