Customer Service And CAD Technician
Summary:
At Bayer Built Woodworks, we craft solutions that blend form, function, and fine craftsmanship. As a Customer Service Representative with CAD expertise, you will be a vital liaison between our customers and internal teams, helping translate design intent into woodwork solutions. This role combines responsive customer care with technical precision, using CAD knowledge to resolve complex inquiries, guide product specifications, and ensure design feasibility. You'll provide CAD drawings per request for Commercial and Residential Customer Service. Alongside, provide exceptional service to our internal and external customers with accurate quoting and keying of orders and solving related issues and requests in a timely matter.
What You'll Be Doing:
Creating CAD drawings to desired requested specs from customer
Updating/Maintaining internal CAD drawings for easy access for internal customers
Possessing excellent communication skills, time management and prioritization
Maintaining customer service duties by providing exceptional service to our internal/external customers with accurate quoting and keying of orders
Answering calls and emails from customers
Processing customer orders, ensuring accuracy and timely fulfillment
Preparing and submitting accurate quotes
Providing product information, technical specifications to lumberyards, contractors, & homeowners
Providing updates on orders and processing back-orders if necessary
Assisting in training our customer base to use Q, the online ordering system
Performing showroom tours; helping homeowners design and choose products
Working on smaller commercial orders & quotes
Understanding the needs and requirements for Millwork products and how it comes together
Maintaining a thorough understanding of the company's Millwork products and services
Staying updated on industry trends
Participating in ongoing vendor training sessions
Working with the outside sales team on problem solving, quotes, training
Developing and maintaining strong customer relationships
What Would Make You a Great Fit:
Knowledge of basic CAD programs - AutoCad (Required)
Ability to work with online quoting programs; Proficient in Microsoft Suite
Proficient in reading and understanding blueprints and templates
Excellent computer skills
Possess courteous, friendly, and approachable communication skills
Strong attention to details
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively
Strong organizational skills and time management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Knowledge of Millwork product and construction industry (Preferred)
