Toolmaster Hawaii is looking for our newest team member in Lihue, Kauai.

Hours: Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 4 PM

Toolmaster started as a tool rental company 52 years ago on Kauai, expanding under new ownership since 2022. We continue to offer tool rental and repair, along with scaffolding and work trucks. Inside the store, you will find top brands like Honda, Husqvarna, Makita, Goal Zero, Thule, Yakima, and we are consistently adding more lines to our growing showroom. The business is dynamic, and applicants must be ready to work positively in a busy environment while following protocol and providing the top-notch customer service our customers deserve.

Ammo & Firearms sales, transfers (this is a separate business; if you know about firearms/have experience, that is a huge plus and would open up opportunities to help with this business as well)

Job Description:

We're seeking an individual to help with customer interaction at Toolmaster Hawaii.

The Job:

- Communicating with customers about their needs
- Answering phone & email communications with customers
- Being knowledgeable about the products we sell, repair, and rent
- Creating rental bookings, following protocols
- Creating scaffolding orders
- Loading and unloading rental equipment, including scaffold
- Driving company vehicles to deliver rental items
- Labor tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving materials
- Operate power tools and machinery as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area that meets safety standards.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and work collaboratively with team members.
- Assist with basic maintenance and repair tasks.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety regulations.
- Complete other duties as assigned by supervisors or project managers

Have a valid driver's license

Be able to lift 30+ lbs

Other details:

Experience with a forklift is a huge plus. The job includes laborious work when scaffolding orders go out. We work as a team here, and there will always be help, but this role is for an individual who doesn't mind working hard and sweating when things get busy.

The posted rate is starting, with evaluation after a 90-day probationary period.
3 days of annual paid sick leave
PTO accrual after 90 days, up to 80 hours of paid vacation annually for full-time.
6 Paid Holidays (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas)
